Mary Turns the Big 60!

On September 12th, we surprised Jason's mom Mary with a party! Her 60th birthday was on September 14th but we thought we would throw it a couple days early.

I had called Darwin in early August and said we need to do something special to celebrate her big day! He was excited and said whatever I planned sounded good to him.

Darwin had told Mary that Jason had called him and invited them out for pizza and that we would come and pick them up at 6. Instead, we all met at the top of the street and walked down together with balloons, gifts, and noise makers! As we walked into the driveway, they both came out...Mary was completely surprised! She had no idea! YEAH!

We had about 25 people at her party (all of us kids, her mom and dad, her sisters and their spouses, and Darwin's sister and brother that live in Worthington and their spouses). We ate chicken, pizza, salads, cake and icecream.
